Robotic Machining For Machining Steel – From Finland
MeteCNC robotic machining with Siemens’ new MTR technology is a modern, 2020s solution for automating machining processes in machine shops thereby creating a lasting competitive advantage.
MeteCNC® robotic machining solutions combine the flexibility and versatility of an industrial robot with performance that approaches that of a traditional CNC machine tool.
The same solution can handle both high-quality machining and workpiece handling.
Whether it’s simple machining tasks, cost-optimised solutions for SMEs, or advanced production cells for serial manufacturing, the Finnish-designed MeteCNC® solution meets the most demanding machining requirements.
Machine Tool Robots – MeteCNC

MeteCNC® ROB20 Standard is a solution for machining soft materials where maximum accuracy is not necessarily required.
KUKA.CNC and Fanuc software systems provide comprehensive options at this level, even with a moderate initial investment.
Implemented with robots equipped with these standard controls, the MeteCNC® ROB20 Standard is a smart, customizable option for gaining a long-term competitive edge.

MeteCNC® ROB30 Advanced is a robotic machining solution that delivers higher performance than the standard version and features Siemens SINUMERIK ONE control.
Solutions at this level are based on Siemens’ technology, offering a wide range of functionalities.
The MeteCNC® ROB30 Advanced is an excellent choice for companies aiming for a productivity leap.

MeteCNC®ROB40 Premium is a high-end solution where the additional encoders and control system work together to achieve maximum machining precision and performance.
MeteCNC® ROB40 Premium solutions implemented with Autonox or Danobat robots offer an impressive range of possibilities for demanding production environments.

MeteCNC®ROB50 MTR is a machining robot specifically designed for steel machining. It includes all the features of the ROB40 level, enhanced with Siemens‘ innovative hybrid drives.
Applications at this level are based on Siemens’ pioneering MTR technology and high-precision robots from autonox and Danobat. In the MTR version, machining accuracy reaches near-machine-tool levels thanks to the SINUMERIK ONE control system, versatile compensations, and additional encoders.
Mobile Robotic Machining

Machining performed by a 6-axis robot opens a new opportunity for on-site machining: even steel components weighing tens or hundreds of tons can now be machined directly in their installed position without the need for difficult relocation, disassembly, or downtime.out the need for difficult and time-consuming relocation.
We can program a mobile 6-axis MeteCNC® M-ROB50 Robotic Machining Center tailored to your company’s requirements, which can be deployed directly to the site of any large or complex workpiece, enabling high-precision machining on fixed or oversized structures.
The mobile MeteCNC® M-ROB50 occupies only a 2 × 3 meter footprint, making it easy to relocate with either a crane or a forklift.
On-site machining with a robot brings a new level of flexibility and efficiency to heavy engineering. It provides significant benefits by saving time, costs, and labor while simultaneously increasing production flexibility.

Order the Machining Solution – Digital Twin
Get your machining solution as a digital twin even before it’s built!
We can create a 1:1 digital twin of the solution, allowing your machinist to safely test tool paths, simulate cycle times, and validate program code.
The digital twin prevents collisions, optimizes the machining process, and delivers significant time and cost savings.
In Addition to Machining
Robotic technology offers the greatest benefits in solutions requiring both high precision and flexible production.
Therefore, a robot following a precise motion path can also perform other manufacturing processes in addition to machining, for example:
- Laser welding
- Laser, flame, and waterjet cutting
- Plasma processes
- Surface finishing
- Gluing, sealing and dispensing

Robotic Machining Productisation Project
The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) is co-financing our ongoing robotic machining productisation project. The development grant awarded in the Pirkanmaa region aims to support the innovative product development of local micro and small enterprises, as well as to promote competitiveness, growth, and internationalisation.
During the project, we will develop and productise at least three different levels of robotic machining solutions. With this scalability, we can flexibly respond to the diverse needs of the industry regarding machining precision, equipment robustness, and the cost-effectiveness of the installation.
Project duration: 10/2025 – 8/2026
