We Are Participating in the Climate Program 2025

Our company is participating in the Climate Program 2025, an initiative organised by the Finland Chamber of Commerce. The aim of the program is to provide Finnish companies with a clear and practical model for developing corporate responsibility from a climate perspective.

We have joined the program alongside 305 other Finnish SMEs. In its first year, 2024, the program had 218 participants—demonstrating growing interest in the topic.

What Is the Climate Program?

The Climate Program is part of the Finland Chamber of Commerce’s broader sustainability initiatives. Its mission is to support companies in developing their operations without political affiliations. The program offers an independent platform and a network of experts through which participating companies gain access to up-to-date information and comparable tools to support their sustainability efforts.

At Metecno Oy, we believe it is essential to link long-term business development with environmental responsibility. We see carbon footprint assessment and related development work as part of the technological and quality-driven solutions that our customers expect from us.

Carbon Footprint Calculation

During the spring, we completed our company’s carbon footprint calculation as part of the program, working in collaboration with an expert organization and following the GHG Protocol. The result, 41.6 tCO₂e for the previous year, provides us with a concrete baseline and tools to systematically and business-orientedly assess the environmental impacts of our operations.

This autumn, the program will continue with a training module that delves deeper into carbon footprint management and emission reduction opportunities, specifically from the perspective of industrial companies. Our goal is to strengthen our internal expertise in sustainability leadership and to identify actions that will help us improve our operational resource efficiency in the future.
