Combining machining and surface hardening, this CNC lathe is designed for demanding industrial use where consistency and repeatability of surface quality are essential. The CNC lathe automatically renews the surface of copper discs used in seam welding.
The compact, horizontal spindle MeteCNC® Welding Disc Lathe machines the disc’s surface and chamfers, and finally hardens the surface with a pressure roller. Automation minimises the need for manual labour and ensures a consistent result, even if the operator has no machining experience at all.
